I am Kurdish by heritage, British by nationality. My family fled the region when I was eight months old.

I was raised in Poland and Algeria and educated in French before moving to England at seventeen. I have some Polish, French, and Algerian in me too, I suppose.

I completed a Master of Letters (MLitt) in Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow with Distinction in 2026. In October 2026, I began a Doctor of Fine Arts (DFA) in Creative Writing at the same university.

My writing tends to focus on themes of belonging, exile, and identity.
